Visit Hiroshima Castle, also known as Carp Castle, an elegant castle set in the middle of a green park a short distance from the city center. The original castle was completely destroyed during the atomic bomb in 1945, but was later carefully rebuilt as a symbol of recovery and resilience. Today, the main tower houses a museum on the history of Hiroshima and the life of the samurai, with a vantage point on top that offers a nice overview of the city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Around the castle, canals, stone walls and quiet walkways create a relaxing atmosphere.
