Get your questions ready to ask during a Q&A session!

Kennedy Space Center launches

The Kennedy Space Center is still an active launch site. Rockets from NASA, SpaceX, and ULA regularly launch from Cape Canaveral, so you might just catch a real launch during your visit. Whether a launch actually takes place depends on the time of day, the weather, and the type of mission. You can find the current launch schedule and available viewing locations at the Official launch schedule page of the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex.

For some launches, visitors can access special viewing areas within or near the Visitor Complex, but this varies by flight and is not always included with a standard ticket. The regular bus tour takes you past several historic sites at Cape Canaveral, where you can see launch pads from a distance that played a major role in past missions. Due to the rise of commercial spaceflight, launches are more frequent these days, but there’s never a guarantee.

Practical Tips

Kennedy Space Center tickets – It’s a good idea to book your tickets in advance of your Orlando vacation.
