As of December 2024, the newest ship of Disney Cruise Line<\/a> to the Eastern<\/a> and Western Caribbean<\/a>. Now that the first voyages have been booked and more and more is known about the ship, it's time for an update!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Port Canaveral<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

As mentioned above, the Disney Treasure sails to the Caribbean. She does so from Port Canaveral (near Walt Disney World<\/a>). In addition to days at sea, the ship sails to Mexico, Jamaica, the Virgin Islands, and, of course, Disney Castaway Cay, among other destinations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dine in style<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

One of the reasons to take a cruise on the Disney Treasure is that there are unique dining options. For example, you can enjoy dinner shows like \u2018Fiesta on the High Seas,\u2019 a dinner entirely in Coco theme, with live entertainment by Miguel himself, and \u2018Marvel Celebration of Heroes: Groot Remix,\u2019 a hero's dinner where Guardians of the Galaxy hero Groot wants to throw a surprise party for his friend Rocket. Meanwhile, you'll hear the best songs from the Guardians movies. Would you prefer something more elegant? Then \u20181923\u2019 is right up your alley. In this restaurant, named after the year Walt Disney Studios was founded, you imagine yourself in the Hollywood of yesteryear. You'll eat classic California dishes while surrounded by items and sketches from Tarzan, The Lion King and Aladdin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bars, snacks and drinks<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

What appeals most to me personally about the Disney Treasure are the bars (for adults) on board, themed after various Disney attractions. The spooky lounge is based on The Haunted Mansion. Here you can spook as a \u2018foolish mortal\u2019 with the Hitchhiking Ghosts, order special drinks and snacks, and there is even special merchandise!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Skipper Society is an exotic bar shaped after the Jungle Cruise attractions. Here several skippers are honored, there is a special cocktail menu, themed waffles and of course ... the backside of water!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can also find the Periscope Pub, a bar themed after a classic Disney attraction: 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea: Submarine Voyage. Not done snacking yet? At Jumbeaux's Sweets you can indulge in more than 31 flavors of ice cream and lots of candy, all in a Zootopia theme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Evening entertainment & shows<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The shows aboard a Disney Cruise are really not to be missed. For the Disney Treasure, Disney has chosen shows based on Moana and Beauty and the Beast, and there is a show featuring Goofy: Disney Seas the Adventure. In it, Goofy joins various Disney and Pixar characters on an adventure on the water. Disney The Tale of Moana was developed specifically for the Disney Treasure, and the released photos already look tremendously good.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
