Did you know that Universal Orlando Resort is the only place in the world where you can experience not one, not two, but three worlds from the Harry Potter films and books? Here you will travel from the cozy streets of Diagon Alley to the snowy Hogsmeade in no time, and then even enter the impressive Ministry of Magic.
Whether you've been dreaming of a letter from Hogwarts since childhood or just love immersive attractions and movie-worthy sets, you'll want to experience this once in a lifetime! Everything is right down to the smallest details. You see, hear, smell and feel that you have landed in the middle of the wizarding world....
In this blog we take you to Diagon Alley, Hogsmeade ánd the brand new Ministry of Magic in Epic Universe! We tell you all about the theming, attractions, snacks and atmosphere in these magical worlds. Join us to visit the Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Orlando!
There are several Universal parks that feature a Wizarding World, but nowhere is it as extensive as Universal Orlando Resort. Hollywood, Beijing and Osaka also feature The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, but unlike Orlando, you'll only find Hogsmeade and Hogwarts here. Nowhere else in the world will you visit the bustling streets of Diagon Alley, the snowy Hogsmeade and the impressive Ministry of Magic all in one trip!
Orlando has another fun extra experience you won't find anywhere else, the Hogwarts Express. Here, after shopping in Diagon Alley, you board the train that takes you straight to the wizarding school! In this attraction located in the Harry Potter theme park, you will feel yourself part of the books and movies for a moment.
Whether you are a seasoned fan or not, these areas are so impressive that they give you goosebumps. The atmosphere, the music, the details ... everything adds to the feeling of being part of the story yourself!

Once you catch sight of the Knight Bus, you know you are getting closer and closer to the entrance to Diagon Alley. But, just like in the movies, the entrance is not so easy to find for muggles. Zigzag around the walls and let a world of magic open up before you there! Narrow, winding streets, colorful facades and shop windows where everything moves. Here you are now in the middle of impressive Diagon Alley, surrounded by wizards and magic!
Just like in the movies, in Diagon Alley you will also find Ollivanders, the famous store where you can buy your own (interactive) wand. Which wand will choose you? One with unicorn hair, phoenix feather or perhaps dragon heartstring? With an interactive wand you can cast spells in different places. Point your wand, make the right move for a window display and see, for example, how a cabinet opens or an object starts to dance!

The absolute highlight in Diagon Alley, of course, is Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts. You step into the imposing marble hall of the wizard bank, where goblins immediately keep a close eye on you. Then you descend to the vaults of the bank and step into a spectacular combination of roller coaster, darkride and 3D adventure. Along the way, of course, you will encounter familiar characters and unexpected enemies!
For a delicious snack or drink, of course, head to The Leaky Cauldron where you can order classic British dishes and, of course, a delicious butterbeer drinks! This non-alcoholic sweet drink is definitely one you shouldn't skip. After a snack, you can leisurely explore the surroundings. Watch the imposing dragon on top of Gringotts spew fire, explore the secret nooks and crannies of Knockturn Alley and find the Magical Menagerie, where you can speak parseltongue with a giant snake!
Tip from Florivida!: Diagon Alley is often the quietest at opening time, especially if you go in with early park entry. You then have plenty of room to take pictures and look around quietly. But even at night, this area takes on a completely new look in the twilight!

As soon as you walk into Hogsmeade, despite the warm Florida temperatures, it feels like you have entered another season! The roofs are covered in a thin layer of snow, chimneys smoke softly and in the distance you can already see the iconic silhouette of Hogwarts looming. Somewhere your heart makes a small leap, because who thought you could ever visit Hogwarts (aka Hogwarts)?
Inside the magic school itself, you'll find the immersive attraction Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey. During this impressive ride, you'll fly along with Harry and his friends, dodge the Golden Snare, meet dragons and nearly get devoured by the Whomping Willow. With a unique combination of motion ride technology and film projections, you will become completely immersed in this story!

Next to this eye-catcher of an attraction you will also find the Flight of the Hippogriff, a family roller coaster overlooking Hagrid's house. This attraction is ideal for young visitors or those who are not fond of too fast roller coasters. If this is your thing, don't miss Hagrid's Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure! This lightning-fast coaster takes you through the forbidden forest past life-like magical creatures and unexpected twists and turns. Will you take a seat on Hagrid's motorcycle or in the sidecar?
Got an appetite? Then The Three Broomsticks is the place to relax! Enjoy burgundy dishes like spare ribs or chicken with roasted potatoes or British dishes like fish and chips. Again, you can of course enjoy Butterbeer, with the option of getting it hot, cold or frozen. Lover of sweet? Then be sure to try the Butterbeer soft serve ice cream.
Tip from Florivida!: The Hogsmeade toilets are also interesting when you don't have a high need! Moaning Myrtle, the spirit that plagues the toilets in Hogwarts, has found her way to this location in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Listen carefully and maybe she'll start talking to you....

Since May 2025, Universal Orlando Resort has added an impressive new Harry Potter world! An additional Wizarding World of Harry Potter has been built in the brand new Universal Epic Universe, where you will find yourself imagining yourself in both magical Paris and the British Ministry of Magic.
You begin your adventure in Wizarding Paris, where artists and magical street performers bring the square to life. Stroll past elegant boutiques, magical cafes and atmospheric alleyways. Be sure to take your time to take it all in, as the theming is truly done to perfection. Think ornate lanterns, beautiful buildings, picturesque streets and delicious French food.
Via a special Metrofloo connection, you step from Paris straight into London's Ministry of Magic. Here the spectacular attraction Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministryâ„¢ awaits you, in which you take your seat in a magical elevator that catapults you into the middle of an epic battle. Expect a combination of immersive special effects, dynamic sets and a story that swallows you whole. In our opinion, this is without a doubt one of the most impressive attractions Universal has ever built.

As mentioned earlier, really take the time to explore this area properly! There are numerous places where you can bring magic to life with your interactive wand. Special creatures appear in many shop windows. Also, right near Le Bobelet Noir, you will find talking paintings that would love to have a chat with you! Meet different characters who roam freely and share their story with you. And be sure not to miss the Le Cirque Arcanus Show! An enchanting show with magical creatures, performers and lifelike animatronics.
Tip from Florivida!: This latest Harry Potter theme park features Nicolas Flamel's house containing a familiar magical object that you may recognize from Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. Oh, and as you enter the portal, pay close attention to the posters on the walls, they subtly change from messages for muggles to messages for wizards!
