Zootopia, also known in Europe as Zootropolis, is a popular Disney animated film set in a modern animal city with diverse neighborhoods and cultures. In the first part, we followed main characters Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde. Judy becomes the very first rabbit to join the police force, while Nick is a smart but skeptical fox who has his own way of life. When their paths cross, they become involved in a case much bigger than they initially suspect.
The first film grew into a worldwide success, making these popular characters more and more frequent appearances! Since November 26, 2025, the long-awaited sequel Zootopia 2 is also available in cinemas. A new adventure with the same familiar characters, new surprising animals and a good dose of humor.

Zootopia 2, also known as Zootropolis 2, was released on Nov. 26, 2025 and builds on the success of the first film. As in the first film, you will once again go on an adventure with Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde. The city of Zootopia is made up of different neighborhoods, each based on the habitat and lifestyle of a particular group of animals. The coming together of all these diverse areas into one city became one of the elements that made the first film so appealing.
In this sequel, Judy and Nick return to a new investigation that once again takes them right into the heart of Zootropolis. This time the story revolves around the mysterious arrival of Gary De'Snake, a snake who is turning the city upside down. To solve the case of this new mysterious figure, Judy and Nick must explore new parts of the city, with all the challenges that entails.
Through this adventure, the film, and with it Zootropolis, also expands with new areas! One of these is Marsh Market, a district specifically for semi-aquatic animals and reptiles. This area is completely set up for these species with jetties, floating stores and even water tubes in which the characters can move around.
In addition to Judy and Nick, other familiar characters also return, including Flash the sloth, who became an instant audience favorite in the first film. The cast is further complemented by new animals and notable appearances. One popular addition to this second film is a cameo by Ed Sheeran, who appears in the film as the animated sheep named Ed Shearin. Several new side characters have also been added that further enhance the humor and pace of the story.
With the mix of familiar main characters, new locations and an even larger cast, Zootropolis 2 shows that the sequel offers more than just a new adventure!
The world of Zootropolis is not only coming more and more to life in the movies, but also in the Disney parks worldwide! For fans of Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde, there are several places where you can see the characters in real life or walk through the impressive world of Zootropolis yourself.
Shanghai Disneyland has the most extensive offerings around Zootropolis. The park opened a fully themed area designed in detail in 2023. All to fully immerse visitors in the world of Zootropolis! The streets and squares are designed like the various neighborhoods from the movie, with architecture inspired by the animal world and recognizable locations that immediately remind you of Zootropolis.
A major attraction found in this area is Zootopia: Hot Pursuit, a trackless darkride in which you join Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde in the middle of a chase into a new police case. In addition, there are several stores and hospitality venues that completely match the style of the movies. This makes Shanghai Disneyland the destination where you can experience Zootropolis most fully. Nowhere else does the world from the movies come so close to reality.

At Disney's Animal Kingdom you can meet Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde at a new location. At this park in Orlando find your own spot where you can meet both characters together almost every day, making this meet and greet extra special for fans. The photo location is right by the Tree of Life, giving the meet and greet an atmospheric and recognizable backdrop that perfectly complements the world of Zootropolis.
Moreover, since November 2025, a new experience has been added: Zootopia Better Zoogether. This 4D show takes place next to the meet and greet location and is the replacement for the former attraction ‘It's Tough to be a Bug. The show combines humor, music and interaction with both familiar and new characters from the films. The story builds on the films and gives you another glimpse into the lives of Judy, Nick and the animals that make up Zootropolis. As a result, the show feels like a logical continuation of meeting the characters and offers a complete experience of the movie world in the park!

Aboard the Disney Treasure the world of Zootropolis is reflected in a subtle but recognizable way in Jumbeaux Sweets. This ice cream parlor is inspired by the famous Jumbaux Café from the film, where Judy Hopps regularly stops by. The space is decorated in the same warm colors, with playful details and decorations that directly reference the style of the film. As a result, the location feels familiar to anyone familiar with Zootropolis.
Jumbeaux Sweets serves various ice creams and sweets to match the atmosphere of the movies. It is not a large themed area like Shanghai Disneyland, but this catering point aboard this Disney Cruise Line ship is not currently found anywhere else.
Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde from Zootropolis 2 can be found at their own photo location at Animation Celebration in Walt Disney Studios Park from Nov. 26, 2025 through Jan. 6, 2026, at the spot where Olaf can normally be met. This meet and greet is specially set up for the release period of the new film. In addition, a new Magic Shot will be available at the PhotoPass photographers in Frontierland during the same period. A Magic Shot is a special photo opportunity where digital effects or figures are added to your photo afterwards, in this case all about Zootropolis!
You will also find the latest Zootropolis merchandise at Disneyland Paris during this time and visitors can attend a session in the Animation Academy at Animation Celebration to learn how to draw Judy Hopps step by step.
Although Disneyland Paris does not have a permanent themed area, this temporary addition ensures that the world of Zootropolis is made tangible here for a short period of time as well!
