Global Village Dubai is much more than a market. It is a vibrant cultural festival held annually from October to April. With more than 90 pavilions representing more than 75 countries, this vast open-air park offers a unique combination of entertainment, shopping and culinary discoveries.

Besides the cultural experience, there are shows to visit and a carnival area with roller coasters, Ferris wheels and other exciting rides for young and old. Global Village Dubai can only be reached by car or bus and the entrance fee is about 6 euros. Gates open daily at 4 p.m., so make sure you arrive hungry, because with the many food stalls, you are guaranteed to want to taste everything!

Explore the desert

A vacation to Dubai is not complete without a visit to the desert. A popular excursion, to escape the city for a while, is a desert safari, where you drive through the dunes in a jeep and in the evening enjoy a traditional Arabic meal under the stars. While visiting the desert, you can engage in various activities such as sandboarding, quad biking or a camel ride.

Dubai with kids: what's good to do with kids?
