It's finally happening, Shanghai Disneyland exists for 10 years! On March 20, 2026, the 10-year anniversary kicked off, bringing with it a lot of brand new things. For one year, the theme of this celebration is ‘’With You, It's Magic+.” The plus sign in the name is no accident either, as it stands for the Chinese character 10! The one-year celebration brings with it spectacular new shows, a grand parade, new park decorations and new snacks & merchandise. All exclusive to the 10th anniversary!

The centerpiece of the 10th anniversary is the brand new castle show called ‘The Heart of Magic. Right in front of the beautiful ’Enchanted Storybook Castle,‘ the action-packed show takes place. With multiple stages and converging bridges, this show is even closer than ever before! At the end of your action-packed visit to Shanghai Disneyland, the magic is not over yet! The revamped evening show ‘Illuminate!’ will be projected onto the impressive ‘Enchanted Storybook Castle’ before closing time. Starring Mickey Mouse in a brand new costume! He takes you through a show packed with entertainment such as: fireworks, fountains, lasers and new scenes. This makes this popular show a must-watch to round out your magical visit!
Throughout the year there will be ongoing entertainment and various interactive moments in the park! With additional photo opportunities and special new anniversary inspired outfits (Blue with gold stars) , there are countless characters running around! Unique seasonal entertainment can also be found! In spring you will find energetic dancers, summer offers a meet and greet with Chip & Dale in ‘Gardens of Imagination,’ in winter there are extra encounters with princesses and so much more! Just before the big parade there is the ‘Duffy and Friends pre-parade. Sailing on a new boat-shaped float (Parade vehicle), the seven friends are a kind of a warm-up for the big parade, this is especially for the 10th anniversary! And In their jubilee outfits, Duffy and Friends also seek a lot of interaction with visitors, who knows, maybe you will be chosen to walk along festively with the colorful pre-parade!
The parade called ‘Mickey's Storybook Express’ also gets a brand new addition! The beloved Zootopia joins the festive parade. With the Gazelle concert bus and DJ officer Clawhauser, they will make it a musical party! You'll see Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde swinging by and dancing to the familiar songs ‘Try Everything’ or ‘Zoo. Everywhere you walk by, you can taste the new magic of the 10th anniversary. With a Mickey Floral and glittering stars throughout the park, being in the beautiful Shanghai Disneyland is extra special! But the magical atmosphere doesn't stop at the park exit, as Disneytown and the Disney hotels are also completely themed for the 10th anniversary.
Throughout the resort you can look for the hidden tens in a kind of interactive scavenger hunt (Hidden ‘’10’’ Discovery Tour) that can be found everywhere in the sign of the anniversary, looking for these tens you explore the resort even more and pay attention to even more details! At Disney, all the senses are being considered to experience the unique anniversary, so this means smell and taste too! Throughout the anniversary, ‘Magic Wish Noodles’ will be available. These noodles are specially developed for the anniversary and are a Chinese birthday tradition in sign of love and happiness, you can find them in different varieties, and often the noodles are visually decorated with stars, colors and thus really presented as a party dish! But there is also a new concept (Different food stands), this revolves around dishes from various Chinese regions and Shanghai Disneyland stays true to Chinese street food and specialties.
Some snacks are back from the past! For example, 10 old snacks are becoming available again in the park. These snacks have been available before during the existence of Shanghai Disneyland and are now making their comeback.
New Merchandise and Interactive Experience
For the 10th anniversary, there is also a brand-new merchandise collection and, by the way, this is the largest merchandise collection Shanghai Disneyland has ever released! All the merchandise is based on the 10th anniversary theme with the blue color and gold stars. So there are new garments, accessories, soft toys and collectibles available!
One of the most interesting additions of the 10th anniversary is the ‘Magic Star Wand. With this interactive magic wand, you can experience all of the park in an exclusive, magical way! Thus, there are several designated or hidden spots where you can perform magic with your wand, with this you activate various elements such as: lights, music, effects and much more!
‘My Magic Star’ is a digital system, where you can personalize and create your own star. This allows you to look for even more interactive elements and locations in the park. Definitely one of the most playful and promising additions in the park!
Collect different entrance tickets and create a unique puzzle! Each ticket has a unique Disney character and Landmark. This makes them all unique and makes it that extra piece worth visiting again next time!
