For many travelers, a visit to Shanghai Disneyland is a highlight of their trip to China. The park combines the familiar Disney magic with special attractions and cultural details found nowhere else. From the largest Disney castle in the world to themed areas designed specifically for Shanghai.
In this blog you will read everything you need for a successful visit. From tickets and hotels to unique snacks and practical tips, here's how to get prepared and make the most of your time in Shanghai!

Shanghai Disneyland is the newest Disney park in Asia and immediately feels familiar but also surprisingly different. The park is designed with the familiar Disney magic, but adapted to Chinese culture.
What sets Disneyland Shanghai apart from other parks are the themed areas and attractions you won't find anywhere else. Think:
You will also notice subtle Chinese influences, such as in the Gardens of Imagination. Here classic garden elements are incorporated into a typical Disney setting, making you really feel you are in China.

A visit to Shanghai Disneyland begins, of course, with the right tickets. Since there are multiple options, it's helpful to know in advance which ones best fit your travel plans.
At Shanghai Disneyland, you can choose from several tickets. The standard option is a one-day ticket, which gives you full day access to the park. There are also two-day tickets, useful if you want to take more time and explore the park at a slower pace and maybe do attractions 2x!
There are also early bird tickets (with discounts if you book well in advance) and bundles that combine admission with meals or souvenirs, for example.
The exact price depends on the chosen date and any promotions. When you book a Disney trip with Florivida, we also provide the right tickets to suit your needs. Take a look at our Disney trip to Shanghai.
Shanghai Disneyland does not operate the traditional FastPass system. Instead, there is Disney Premier Access. With that, you buy access to skip queues at popular attractions.
If you book your trip through Florivida, you won't have to worry about getting the right tickets. We:

If you really want to make your visit to Disneyland Shanghai complete, an overnight stay at one of the official Disney hotels is highly recommended. These are located right by the resort and each has its own theme and perks.
This is the resort's most luxurious hotel, located on Wishing Star Lake. Rooms are spacious with subtle Disney details. You'll find multiple restaurants, a pool and (not insignificantly) extra perks like early access to the park.
A hotel that is more kindly priced is the Toy Story Hotel. Everything here revolves around Woody, Buzz and their friends. The rooms are colorful, there is a central courtyard garden and you travel to the park entrance in minutes on a free shuttle.

In addition to the attractions, Shanghai Disneyland is also known for its unique snacks. From ice creams in unusual shapes to colorful donuts, there are plenty of goodies to make your day at the park even more fun.
In the Zootopia area you will find the popular Pawpsicle, a fresh ice cream in the shape of a paw print. Also popular is the Big Donut at Jumbeaux's Café: a big donut with chocolate and decorations. We recommend sharing this one! The cheerful Zootopia cheesecakes, such as Judy's Pineapple Cheesecake and Nick's Lemon Cheesecake, are also available in the Zootopia area.
There are also popcorn varieties throughout the park in surprising flavors, from caramel to fruity flavors. Buy one of the unique popcorn buckets that you can refill throughout the day at one of the popcorn stands for a small fee.
A visit to Shanghai Disneyland can be combined well with a few days in Shanghai city. Shanghai is a destination where modern architecture meets classic Chinese culture. This way, you will make your trip not only a Disney experience, but also a cultural trip through one of Asia's greatest cities.
