Tokyo Disneyland - Classic Disney magic
Tokyo Disneyland is the first park of Tokyo Disney Resort and opened its gates in 1983. It was inspired by the original Disneyland in California and the Magic Kingdom in Florida, but has a Japanese charm all its own. You'll find seven themed areas, including Adventureland, Fantasyland and Tomorrowland, full of beloved rides and colorful parades.
What makes Tokyo Disneyland unique is the perfect combination of familiar Disney icons with exclusive shows and that Japanese touch. Think impressive Halloween parades, spectacular Christmas decorations and unique snacks available nowhere else in the world. Highlights include classics like Splash Mountain, Space Mountain and It's a Small World. But there are also many attractions you won't find (almost) anywhere else like the Enchanted Tale of Beauty and the Beast, Pooh's Hunny Hunt and Monsters, Inc. Ride & Go Seek.
Tokyo DisneySea - Unique in the world.
Tokyo DisneySea is the showpiece of Tokyo Disney Resort and exists nowhere else in the world. Inspired by myths, legends and sea explorations, the park offers a mix of adventure, atmosphere and detail that surprises even seasoned Disney fans. From the romantic Mediterranean Harbor to the mysterious Mysterious Island, each area is detailed down to the last detail.
One of the newest gems is Fantasy Springs, a breathtaking themed area where three beloved worlds come to life: Frozen, Peter Pan and Tangled. Here you can stroll through Arendelle, sail to Never Land or be swept away by Rapunzel's lantern sea. Must-do attractions include Peter Pan's Never Land Adventure, Anna and Elsa's Frozen Journey and Rapunzel's Lantern Festival.
In addition to the novelties, you'll find iconic top attractions that have made the park famous, such as Journey to the Center of the Earth, Tower of Terror and Indiana Jones Adventure. Add impressive evening shows on the water, unique seasonal decorations and Japanese hospitality, and you have a park that for many is the absolute number one Disney experience in the world.
Location & accessibility
Tokyo Disney Resort is located in Urayasu, in Chiba Prefecture, directly on the east side of Tokyo. Thanks to its convenient location, the resort is easily accessible from downtown Tokyo and from both international airports.
If you travel by public transportation, Maihama Station is the nearest train station. From Tokyo Station, you can get to Japan's Disney Parks in about 30 minutes on the JR Keiyo line or the JR Musashino line.
