So Disney Cruise Line is expanding even more with the arrival of Disney Adventure! This brand new cruise ship sails from beautiful Singapore and continues to sail in Asia. This makes Disney Adventure, at this time, Disney Cruise Line's very first cruise ship to sail only in Asia.
Disney Adventure was officially announced in 2023, so after almost three years of waiting, it is finally here! The huge cruise ship was built by the German shipyard ‘MV Werften’ in Wismar, but was not the Disney Adventure at the time. The ship was originally built under the name ‘Global Dream’ for an Asian cruise line, but after the parent company went bankrupt, the ship lay idle half-finished.
Fortunately, ‘The Walt Disney Company’ then bought the ship and had it further finished with a completely new design by Meyer Werft, the same shipyard that built the ‘’Disney Wish,’‘ Disney Treasure and the ’'Disney Destiny.'' So it's finally here, Disney Cruise Line's newest and eighth ship will set sail! The 342-meter-long and 18-story cruise ship named ‘Disney Adventure’ departs for her first cruise on March 10, 2026, after this the ship will sail every 3 to 4 days.
This Disney Cruise has a capacity of about 6,000 passengers, which is more than any other Disney Cruise Line ship! For example, the Disney Destiny for example, a capacity of about 4,000 passengers. The Disney Adventure is dedicated to Disney cruises around Asia and thus departs from Singapore. This is one of Asia's major cruise hubs. On board the ship, you'll also see the Asian touch in the restaurants, stores and more. For example, consider the Hawker-style food market on board inspired by the food markets in Singapore.
Disney Adventure is divided into seven diverse themed areas, making it feel even more like a smaller, sailing Disney park! Adventure is at the heart of this Disney cruise, it's all about exploring, experiencing and fantasizing. The ship is divided into the following seven enchanting themed areas:
Entertainment is an important part of any Disney Cruise, and at Disney Adventure, entertainment once again takes center stage. The ship features many spectacular shows unique to, and often developed exclusively for, Disney Cruise Line. But there are also attractions, slides and interactive activities to be found on this new cruise from Disney.
As on the other Disney Cruise Line ships, you'll once again find a large theater where shows are performed every night. Aboard the Disney Adventure, a new musical will also be performed! ‘Remember’ is a new show featuring ‘WALL-E and EVE’ as the main characters, this musical will take you through memories, adventures, music and dance! ‘Disney Seas The Adventure’ also appears in this great theater, laugh and enjoy as Goofy takes charge of the ship and tries to discover his inner hero!
Most theme areas have several shows! For example, you'll find ‘Moana: Call of the Sea’ in Wayfinder Bay, ‘Avengers Assemble!’ in Marvel Landing and it doesn't stop there!!! There is actually incredible entertainment all day long aboard Disney Adventure. In addition to the great regular shows, you will also find entertainment on this ship in the form of:
Multiple attractions can also be found on board! These include not only the ‘Toy Story water park’ with water slides, children's pools and interactive water play areas, but also attractions that could almost have been in a theme park!
For a real sense of adventure, this ship has the new ‘Ironcycle Test Run’ in the Marvel Landing area. In this roller coaster you go around the entire ship and also have great views during the ride. This is currently the longest roller coaster at sea with a track of more than 250 meters!
This area also features ‘Great Galaxy Spin,’ a spinning attraction inspired by Guardians of the Galaxy with music and various effects. Finally, you will also find ‘Pym Quantum Racers,’ an interactive race with vehicles that appear to shrink inspired by the movie ‘Ant-Man.’.

Disney Cruise Line still uses the popular “Rotational Dining’’ concept on its cruises, which means you eat at a different restaurant each night, and you keep the same service team. By doing this, Disney makes the service more personal and ensures that the service gets to know your preferences!
Feel like something different for once? Then you can also opt for ‘signature dining,’ which are two restaurants that are not included in the cruise price and require reservations. With this, Disney offers two elegant dining experiences for their guests. The two options are:
But there are a total of more than 20 diverse restaurants on the ship! There are Quick service restaurants, cafes and snack bars and table-service restaurants. So there is always an eating and drinking place nearby!

Although Disney Cruise Line is known as family-friendly, there are also several sections on the ship that are exclusively for adults. Thus, these areas are only accessible to guests 18 years of age or older. Here you can relax in the adult-only pool deck, where you can find loungers, pools and pool bars to enjoy a nice cocktail! Also, the restaurant ‘Palo Trattoria’ is an adults-only restaurant with an elegant atmosphere and Italian menu. Ideal if you also want to enjoy the luxury aspects of a Disney Cruise for a while!
For ultimate relaxation, there is a spa & wellness on board where you can find saunas, steam rooms, relaxation areas and wellness facilities. You can also book a massage or beauty treatment here. Thus, Disney provides the ultimate balance between family-friendly and relaxation!
Disney Adventure has four different cabins on the ship, the inside cabin, outside cabin with a large window, verandah cabin with a private balcony or for the ultimate in luxury, Concierge rooms and suites are available. One of the key features of the cabins is the special layout for families, with extra space for 3-5 people, bathrooms split into two sections, a sofa bed and a fold-out bed in the ceiling. Disney Adventure departs from Marina Bay Cruise Center in Singapore, which is about a 25-minute drive from Singapore Changi Airport. Disney Adventure sails mostly short cruises of three or four nights. Unlike many other Disney Cruise Line ships, this ship does not dock at other destinations. The ship is primarily the biggest and most important experience on this cruise, due to all the shows, activities and luxury the cruise offers. Singapore is a perfect starting point for the cruise and a fun city to spend a few days exploring before or after!
