Fancy sun, sea and a good dose of adventure? This trip combines the best of both worlds: a relaxing stay on the coast and a luxurious cruise along tropical islands. You begin with two nights in Cocoa Beach, a laid-back resort on Florida's Atlantic coast. Here you will have plenty of time to unwind, enjoy the beach and get into the vacation spirit.

Then board the MSC Seashore for an unforgettable 7-night cruise through the Western Caribbean. The program includes no fewer than four dream destinations: from colorful Nassau to Cozumel and Costa Maya in Mexico, and, as icing on the cake, MSC's private tropical island of Ocean Cay.

There's also plenty to enjoy on board. Take a dip in the infinity pool with an ocean view, race across the deck on the go-kart track, zipline across the ship or walk across the spectacular glass bridge overlooking the ocean. Not to mention the restaurants, shows and wellness options....

This trip is based basically on a comfortable hotel in Cocoa Beach and an inside cabin aboard the MSC Seashore but can be upgraded to an outside cabin, balcony cabin or MSC Yacht Club if desired.

Features of this trip:

  • Choice of many departure options in 2026
  • Air travel & luggage included
  • 2 nights hotel on Cocoa Beach
  • 7 nights aboard the MSC Seashore
  • Visit Nassau, Mexico & the Bahamas

Day 1

Today the adventure begins! At Schiphol Airport, you board your flight to sunny Florida. Before you know it, you will exchange the Dutch temperatures for the warmth and palm trees of Orlando. After arriving at the airport, pick up your bags and travel on your own to Cocoa Beach, where you will begin your trip at leisure with a first night on the coast.

Cocoa Beach Florida

Day 2

After a good night's sleep, you have another wonderful day to recover from the trip! You can relax at Cocoa Beach, a place known for its laidback surf vibe and wide sandy beaches. Do you feel like doing something? Then the Kennedy Space Center or the cozy pier are both fun options! In the evening, enjoy the tranquility and dinner overlooking the beautiful ocean.

Cocoa Beach

Day 3-9

Today marks the start of your 7-night cruise aboard MSC Seashore!

Embarkation

After a wonderful day in Cocoa Beach, it's time for the highlight of your trip: the MSC cruise to the Western Caribbean! Today you will travel on your own from Cocoa Beach to the nearby cruise terminal in Port Canaveral, where the impressive MSC Seashore awaits you. Drop off your luggage upon arrival and the staff will make sure it is delivered to your cabin! After this you will receive your boarding pass, which you can use not only to enter your cabin but also to pay for other products and services on board. You don't have to think about anything else, let the vacation begin!

Aboard MSC Seashore

As soon as you set foot on board MSC Seashore, you know: this is going to be a cruise to remember. Here, everything is about comfort, style and endless opportunities to relax, explore and enjoy. With a whopping 13,000 sq. ft. of outdoor space, this is a ship that truly brings the sea to life. One of the absolute eye-catchers is the glass bridge with viewpoint on deck 16, as if you were floating above the water. And how about the iconic infinity pool at the back of the ship? Here you look out over an endless ocean while relaxing in the warm water. You've never experienced the sea like this before!

In the mood for some action? Explore the impressive aqua park with slides, or float on a zipline high above the deck. You can even race on the electric karts on the deck, just out at sea! There's also plenty of entertainment for kids at the Mini and Juniors club. The Pirates Cove Aquapark's pirate theme is a guaranteed hit with young adventurers. Need a break? Then retreat to one of the adults-only zones or pamper yourself with a treatment at the luxurious Aurea Spa. Here everything is about relaxation; with saunas, steam baths and stunning sea views.

You won't be short of anything on the culinary front either. On board you will find 11 restaurants, ranging from extensive buffets to stylish à la carte restaurants with world cuisines. End your day with a night out in the cabaret lounge, a spectacular live show in the theater, or enjoy live music in one of the atmospheric bars and lounges.

Route - Western Caribbean

During your MSC Seashore cruise you will visit several unique stops. In Nassau, the colorful capital of the Bahamas, you'll discover a mix of culture, beaches and history. Cozumel is a colorful island in Mexico and a real paradise for snorkeling enthusiasts. Costa Maya is your favorite sunny destination where culture and beach meet effortlessly. Finally, you will also visit Ocean Cay, MSC Private Island in the Bahamas where you'll enjoy water sports and three miles of white sandy beaches. Each destination offers a different atmosphere, culture and experience!

One thing is certain: you will have gained a mountain of memories and perhaps you already have plans for the next cruise...

    General information

Time: The United States has several time zones. The time difference with the Netherlands depends on where you are staying. In most places, time is adjusted at the same time as here in the Netherlands.

    • New York: 6 hours earlier
    • Florida (Orlando, Miami): 6 hours earlier
    • West Coast (e.g., Los Angeles and San Francisco): 9 hours earlier

Language: the official language in the United States is English and is therefore spoken there by default. Spanish is also widely spoken in major & southern cities.

Voltage: 110 volts, 60 Hz. It is necessary to bring a world plug, that way you can be sure you can charge your devices anywhere.

Currency: The official currency in the United States is the United States Dollar (USD). One Euro is approximately 1.16 Dollars. One Dollar is about 0.86 Euro (December, 2025). One Dollar consists of 100 cents. The exchange rate varies, therefore it is always wise to check it before departure.

    Communications

Telephoning in the United States: The mobile network is generally excellent. Keep in mind that providers may charge high roaming fees when using a European SIM card. For many data and calling uses, it may be more economical to purchase a local SIM card or an e-SIM through Airalo, for example.

Internet in the United States: almost all hotels, restaurants and public buildings offer free wifi. In large cities, many wifi hotspots are available.

    Food and Drink

Tap water is safe to drink in most parts of the United States, but bottled water is available everywhere. American cuisine is varied, with influences from all over the world. In major cities, you will find a wide range of international cuisines, ranging from Asian and Italian to Mexican and Middle Eastern. In addition, fast food restaurants and food courts in shopping malls are everywhere.

    Money matters/Trophies

International credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) are accepted almost everywhere. Debit cards as we often use them in the Netherlands do not work in all locations. It is recommended that you always bring a credit card.

Automatic teller machines (ATMs) are widely available, but transaction fees may be charged for foreign bank cards. When making payments with a European bank card, it is more economical to opt for settlement in dollars rather than euros.

Tips are common in the United States and often an important part of the income of service personnel. The guidelines are:

    • Restaurants: 15-20% of the bill (unless service charges are included)
    • Cabs: 10-15%
    • Hotel staff (luggage carriers, chambermaids): $1-5 per shift

    Sales Tax

In the United States, consumer prices are shown exclusive of sales tax. This means that VAT is still added to the prices shown. This applies to both goods and services.

    Border documents and health

Visa: Dutch and Belgian nationals can travel to the United States under the Visa Waiver Program (VWP), provided they apply for an ESTA travel authorization in advance. An ESTA must be applied for online at least 72 hours before departure and is valid for up to two years. You can easily apply for it through the official website of the American government.

Legitimation: a valid Dutch or Belgian passport is required. This passport must still be valid for at least six months upon departure from the US.

Health: make sure you have good travel insurance, as medical care in the United States is very expensive. Vaccinations are generally not required, but it is recommended to check the latest guidelines.

    Climate

The United States has different climate zones, temperatures and humidity depends on which place you are going to visit.

    • East Coast (New York, Washington D.C.): temperate climate with warm summers and cold winters.
    • Southern states (Florida, Texas): warm summers, mild winters and in some areas a tropical climate.
    • West Coast (California): Mediterranean climate with hot, dry summers and mild, wet winters.
    • Northern states and Midwest: harsh winters with lots of snow, especially around the Great Lakes.
    • Desert regions (Arizona, Nevada): very hot summers and cool winters. The best travel time depends on the region you are visiting.

    Transportation

Cars are widely used in the United States. Most tourists and locals get around by rental car, this is especially important outside the major cities. There is an extensive road network and the roads are well maintained. However, it is possible that traffic regulations vary from state to state, always keep a close eye on this.

    Cab and public transportation:

    • In cities like New York, Orlando and San Francisco, cabs and Uber/Lyft are popular modes of transportation. This is easily arranged through the Uber or Lyft app.
    • Public transportation is well established in cities such as New York and Washington D.C. with subway and bus networks. In smaller cities and outside urban areas, public transportation is more limited.
